Tessa Virtue and Scott Moier Deliver in Ice Dancing and USA's Female Hockey Players Beat Sweden!

Monday February 22, 2010

Yippee! Yes Connor some good news in the Olympic front here in Vancouver BC.  The weather continues to be excellent.  I'm enjoying my hot tea and watching the team sprint event in cross country skiing while suntanning in thin parka.  I already miss the warmth of Caribbean sun and soothing sounds of ocean.  However, I definately picked the best place in the world to be other than sailing in warm waters.  Hurray!  Go Canada Go!  Canada is in the lead!

Haiti Port-Au-Prince Disaster Relief

Thursday January 28, 2010

We have exhausted all NGO's, other agencies and gov'ts providing assistance in Port-Au-Prince.  It would appear by the response, the relief organizations do not need sailors or their vessels for any relief in Haiti?  We are still going to organize a drop of medical supplies and dry goods for orphanages in Haiti.  I guess with several hospital ships and other naval ships moored just offshore, there isn't much call for little ole' Out-N-Aboat for accommodations ...

Haiti Disaster Relief Accommodations

Thursday January 21, 2010

One week has passed since the Haiti earthquake and our attempts to offer Out-N-Aboat to the disaster relief.  We have contacted several Haiti NGO's and relief organizations with some responses.  Several people have contacted us desperately looking for rides into the disaster capital of Port-Au-Prince and other volunteers both sailors and those looking to help in what ever way they can.

Haiti Disaster Relief Accommodations

Friday January 15, 2010

Hi Everyone!

We have decided to offer Out-N-Aboat to the Haiti disaster relief for the much needed accomodations.  What little infrastructure was there prior to the earthquake has been damaged.  Access over land is almost impossible.  All flight access is controlled and restricted.  Many hotels and accomodations are destroyed and the options for the disaster relief are limited.  Those buildings that did not completely fall are damaged and not safe.
