Cruiseship Terminal in Vancouver
Sunday May 24, 2009
Yesterday I arrived back to BC to visit family and friends. The Westcoast weather is awesome! Spanish Banks close to UBC was busier than ever. The Granville Island was as international as I remembered it to be. The Canada Place Cruiseship Terminal and Stanley Park were equally busy. This is how I always reminiscence BC to be: multicultural, beautiful Westcoast Sea to Sky sceneries ... of course, I might be slightly biased. In anticipation of the 2010 Olympics and Paraolympics we are definately excited. BC is great place to have a vacation. I have met new friends already from US on their way to Thailand, and chatted with Alex from Germany, who had spent a whole year in Brazil. Wow ... who wouldn't want to visit the Amazon river in Brazil or the unbelievable scenes of Leonardo di Caprio's movie 'Beach' in Thailand?
The catamaran refitting is going according to the plan. The remaining navigational and other equipment upgrades finally arrived ... not mention some parts for servicing the engines and the generator. These refits will keep us busy for several weeks. The new 15' dinghy still needs some platform changes for the parasailing ... hopefully we don't have to design and manufacture the piece ourselves. The seasonal weather changes are approaching. The usual weather related preparations need to be done. No whistling onboard of Out-N-Aboat! We would not want to raise a storm ...
